Miki Lowe
Anglo-Japanese visual artist, brought up in France but based between London and Spain. Her experience includes working within the arts and culture industry, including music, editorial/publishing and fashion, but also advertising and more commercial projects. Clients include The Atlantic Magazine, NY Times, Mango, Penguin Random House.
After studying applied arts, Miki was formed as an illustrator, and she has kept a versatile and interdisciplinary practice between graphic designer, illustrator and artist. Mixing drawing, photography, painting and digital, her images merge observations and objects from everyday life with dreamy exoticisim and surreal elements.
Her iconography and inspiration are informed by her multi-cultural background, love of travel, and curiosity for of many different creative fields - from architecture, layout, printmaking and branding.
She has been published internationally in magazines, children’s books, events and cultural venues, given various talks and workshops, and exhibited in London, Madrid and Paris.
