Moria Bachar (b. 1985) is a Tel Aviv based painter. In her paintings, Moria reflects on the landscapes and architecture that surrounded her in the Kibbutz where she grew up. The blending of visual atmospheres with vague memories gave Moria her distinct style of flat, graphic art. Moria’s paintings comprise a personal code – one that relies on modernism and abstraction, always searching for the right balance between them. Unified fields of acrylic paint illustrate her inner world while her use of light and color are her own interpretation of the strong Israeli sunbeam. Moria is a graduate of Shenkar Art college, her work has been exhibited in several solo and collective exhibitions, including ‘Fresh Paint’ Art Fair.
