Ain’t Lemons

3,000.00 ILS Sale Save

A ceramic hand emerges from a wall, a portal, holding a single lemon. The gesture is suspended between offering and resistance.

The title refers to a moment when the artist’s illness was dismissed by a doctor who laughed and said she did not have Lyme, but “lemons.” What was meant as mockery became something to reclaim.

The hand pushes through the surface as if crossing to the other side. It offers the lemon, but it could just as easily hold something else, a reminder that what passes through the wall can change.
