Hand-pinched from base to rim, this large vase was created for a performance reenacting the myth of the Danaides, the women condemned to fill leaking vessels for eternity. The act of building it became a meditation on repetition, endurance, and the labour of the hands.
Fired three times, the vessel carries the marks of persistence. Unlike the mythic containers it references, this one holds. It resists disappearance and can be used as a functional object.
